tourists in Edinburgh got a little unexpected "extra" - about 30.000 people coming down the Royal Mile chanting "What do we want?" - "Independence!" - "When do we want it?" - "NOW!" One of the reasons is being carried on the right, 12 golden stars on deep blue, which Scotland was forced to leave against the explicit will of its population. For anyone in doubt - Great Britain defines itself to the UN as a "Union of two countries and two protectorates", one of those countries being Scotland.
