Nether Largie South Cairn, Kilmartin Glen

 


There are two cairns in this picture, looking like grey mole hills :D These are Nether Largie Mid Cairn to the left
and Nether Largie North Cairn in the middle.






As was only right and proper for visiting such a site we timed it to take place on the summer solstice, alongside the Nether Largie Stone Circle in the neighbouring field and the two stone circles of Temple Wood across the road.

    I think I've seen mounds that are similar in Stonehenge.
